My fave was<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/07\/05\/opinion\/05barlow.html?_r=1\"> the one on Detroit<\/a>. The best quote: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Biking in the D is the transportation equivalent of the Slow Food movement, offering a perspective that\u2019s completely lost to those zooming in on the Lodge Freeway and I-75, those great superhighways that, once upon a time in the name of progress, were sliced deep into the heart of the city only to bleed it dry.&#8221;\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Indeed. <a href=\"http:\/\/urbanthoreau.com\/blog\/?p=19\">The city built by the deathmobile, killed by the deathmobile<\/a>.
